Tectonic is a pioneer in exploring for Intrusive Related Gold Systems (IRGS) and has partnered with the Australian Government in a successful research program to identify and delineate these types of gold systems. Following an extensive research program using advanced exploration technologies, Tectonic has built a portfolio of IRGS in Queensland, Australia, and is now delineating these discoveries. IRGS are an important class of gold deposit as they host most of the major gold discoveries in the last decade. The Tectonic belt in Queensland that hosts the company’s projects is similar to the North China Craton, home of major gold mining operations for Zijin Mining and Shandong Gold, China’s leading gold companies. IRGS deposits have very specific geological characteristics which Tectonic has developed testing programs for in order to rapidly evaluate and potential for scale and grade. These systems can be large from 3Moz+ (over 100 tons) Au and sought after as the major gold companies look for replacement ounces from there ageing mines. Tectonic plan to delineate projects within its portfolio to partner with or sell to major mining companies to bring into production.
